Pointe-à-Pitre

As a generalist port, Guadeloupe Port Caraïbes handles a wide variety of traffic (passengers, goods, yachting). It is made up of five specialized sites spread over the archipelago: the Port of Jarry at Baie-Mahault, the port of Pointe-à-Pitre, the port of Basse-Terre, the port of Folle Anse at Marie-Galante and the ort of Bas-du-Fort.
Bringing together 95% of Guadeloupe's merchandise trade with the outside world and handling 3.7 million tons of goods, the Jarry Port is the main logistics platform on which the local economy relies. It allows on the one hand the energy supply, the import of raw materials, intermediate products and most consumer goods and, on the other hand, the export of Guadeloupean products (banana, sugar, rum, scrap metal) .
